Crowdfunding & Product Launch Strategy

Your product is ready. Is the world ready for it?

Alexis Tan helps product owners in Malaysia, Singapore and across Asia test overseas demand, raise pre-orders on Kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms, and launch into new markets before they commit to a big production run.

Don’t manufacture 10,000 units just to find out nobody wants them.

The Alexis Method

Five steps from product to global market.

Most failed launches skip the first step. They spend on stock, ads and agencies before anyone has proved that overseas customers will pay.

  1. 01

    Validate

Find out whether customers actually want the product, and at what price.

  2. 02

    Position

Pin down the audience, value proposition, story, pricing and offer.

  3. 03

    Build demand

Build the crowd before launch with content, landing pages, reservations and leads.

  4. 04

    Launch

Run the crowdfunding campaign or international product launch.

  5. 05

    Scale

Turn campaign momentum into e-commerce, resellers and new markets.

Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding isn’t just about raising money.
It’s about proving demand.

A campaign tells you, with real orders, whether overseas buyers want your product. You find out before you sign a large purchase order with your factory.

  • Validate international demand
  • Collect pre-order cash flow
  • Build a customer base
  • Reduce launch risk
  • Enter overseas markets
  • Generate market data
  • Build social proof
  • Attract resellers

About Alexis

I learned this the expensive way.

I’ve spent more than 12 years building and scaling consumer brands, first as a founder selling physical products in Singapore, then running e-commerce, sourcing and fulfilment across Asia and the US.

The most expensive mistake I keep seeing is the same one: a founder commits to production and stock before anyone outside their home market has paid for the product. By the time the data comes in, the cash is already sitting in a warehouse.

Prove the demand first. Then spend.

Crowdfunding is the cleanest way I know to do that. Real buyers in a new market pay you before you manufacture. Today I lead K3 Creative as Director to take products from across Asia to Kickstarter, Makuake, ZecZec and beyond.
